Conservatory Window Films

CONSERVATORY TOO HOT?

UK Window Films provide the perfect solution for conservatory solar control protection. With a wide range of clear virtually invisible films to high performance tinted professional solar control conservatory window films.  All designed to help reduce the solar heat gain, cut ultraviolet light and reduce the sun’s glare. Conservatory windw film helping to keep you comfortable and protected all year round.

With our conservatory window films applied directly on to your existing glass or polycarbonate roof and the windows. You will feel and see the benefits immediately. Our conservatory window films have been specifically designed to reject the sun’s heat, UV light and glare before entering your conservatory room. With window film applied, the sun’s heat penetrating the conservatory glass is considerably reduced by up to 82%. The sun’s glare is reduced by as much as 94%, with 99% of the Ultra Violet Light (UV) removed by the film. Providing a more comfortable and safe living environment. Whilst allowing the natural light into the room, keeping the conservatory and the room behind light and airy. Whilst still maintaining a clear view looking out into the garden or sky.

Why traditional conservatory blinds do not work.
While traditional conservatory window blinds provide protection against glare. They do not combat summer heat build-up. With modern glazing having Low-E or energy coatings for winter insulation. The summers heat is still building up inside the conservatory. A solar reflective window blind will not push the heat out through the Low-E energy saving glass. The trapped hot air will naturally heat up the cooler air in the conservatory and increase the internal temperatures. With some uPVC conservatories, excessive heat build-up will cause by the blinds to distort and damage the plastic trims.

Conservatory blinds will also reduce the natural light entering the room. Making the conservatory or rooms behind the conservatory darker. Conservatory blinds obscure your view, trap dust and dead insects. Making cleaning a regular chore. With continuous exposure to the sun’s energy, they will deteriorate the fabric and plastic fittings. Drying them out and causing the fabric and fittings to become brittle in time.

NOTHING WORKS BETTER.....

Polycarbonate or Plastic Conservatory Roof?
Silver Shade polycarbonate film has been specially designed to be installed onto polycarbonate or plastic roofing materials. No need to dismantle the conservatory roof to install, maintenance-free and quick to install bubble free. The Silver Shade polycarbonate film is constructed with a unique high performance metallised coating. That offers a low mirror appearance and allows the natural light to enter the room. Keeping it ligh and airy. Designed to reduce the sun's heat by 70%, cut glare by 76% and the ultraviolet light by 99%.

A standard solar control conservatory window film cannot be installed to a plastic or polycarbonate roof panels. Polycarbonate and plastic materials release natural gases over there lifetime. If a standard window film was to be installed to polycarbonate it will bubble and blister within a short period of time.

Silver Shade polycarbonate film is specially formulated to breathe and allow theses gasses to escape naturally, leaving a perfectly smooth finish without the risk of bubbles or blisters appearing.
